I've never heard of Family Fare? Seems like they have decent prices. Are they local or part of a chain?

Thanks for linking! Great shopping!

Family Fare is a chain local to Grand Rapids, MI. There are probably 20 stores in the greater GR area.

Typically their prices are higher overall than Meijer but if you shop just the sales you can do pretty well. They do a lot of 10 for $10 and B1G1 sales. Prices among FF stores vary greatly, too - I buy dog food for 99c a can at one FF store and it's 1.29 a can at another. That's 30 cents difference for ONE CAN! Pays to keep a price book with that store.

I will say, their meat is usually better than Meijer and it doesn't stink in the meat department the way it does at my nearest Meijer - I won't buy meat there because of the nasty "bad food" smell they've got going. Ugghh.
