Awards, Awards, Oh My!

I have been sooo bad! I haven't taken the time to acknowledge that I have been blessed with TWO different awards by TWO wonderful bloggy friends over the course of the last couple of months! Thank you to the ladies who gave me these awards!

The first award is the Kreativ Blog Award given to me by Momtofivekids over at My Life and Homeschooling! There are instructions with this award that I am to list 7 things that I am thankful for and then list 7 blogs that I love.

The 7 things I am thankful for:

1. God
2. My Hubby
3. My 5 children
4. My parents
5. My church
6. Godly friends
7. my hubby's job---this is something definitely to be thankful for with living in MI.

The second award I received is the Lovely Blog Award from Ashley over at Get Groceries Free. There are instructions with this award too! I am to pass it on to 15 blogs that I have newly discovered and have been reading who I feel deserve the award.

Now the hard part...listing blogs!! I am going to combine the lists for the two awards so the blogs I list can choose to accept both awards! Several of the blogs I have just found over the last few months while the others are blogs that I read on a weekly(sometimes daily) basis!

New Blog Awards!

Thanks to my friend, Amy, at The Finer Things in Life who not only gave me one but two blog awards!!

The first one is the "Kreativ Blogger Award" and that has a little assignment with it!  I am to list six things that I am thankful for and then share the award with six other bloggers. 

I am thankful for...

1. Christ being born as a baby, becoming a man and then dying on the cross for my sins!
2. My wonderful hubby that God gave to me! He is my best friend! He is a great provider for me and our children!
3. My five wonderful(most of the time! LOL) children. They are such a blessing to me!
4. My warm house!  Lots of snow has fallen lately along with high winds and while over 19,000 homes in the area were without power from the weather we kept our power and our heat in the sub zero temperatures
5. All the new friends that I have made around the blogosphere over the last year and a half! Being a stay at home/homeschooling mom, I don't get out too much with my IRL friends so it is good to come and read other blogs to see that I am not alone.
6. For my pastor!  His sermons the last few weeks have really spoken to me and have made me think about myself and things that I need to change in order to grow more like Christ!

The second award is the "Lemonade Award" it is given to blogs that show "attitude and/or gratitude".  For this award my only assignment is nominate 10 blogs that show attitude and/or gratitude!

More Blog Awards!!!

Just when I thought that nobody was interested in my blog, I have gotten TONS(well maybe not tons but many) of awards to show me that people really are interested in reading things posted by lowly ol' me!

Last week, Melinda passed on to me TWO different awards! That I now want to take the time to recognize and pass on to others!! (Sorry Melinda I haven't done this sooner been a very busy week!!)

The first award...

The rules of this award are:

1. The winner can put the logo on her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of those you’ve nominated.

The Second award...

Here are the rules:
1. The recipient must link back to the awards creator (it's right on the award)

4. You must fit the characteristics of the recipient of the award (see below.)
5. You must post the characteristics of a recipient.

Characteristics for the Smile Award:
1. Must display a cheerful attitude. (not necessarily at all times--we are all human).

I love reading their blogs! There isn't a day that goes by when I visit these blogs that I don't find something to smile or laugh about or think about or find something useful to apply to my life/homeschooling. A Blog Award!!!

I seem to be on the collecting end of these blog awards lately!! Which I guess is a good thing! Right!?!? Anyway, my friend, Marcy--Stretching A Buck has nominated/given me this award!! I have seen this award on other blogs so I am a little confused on the rules. So I am going to post the rules that I have seen before...
