Singing Sunday

**This morning's church service was powerful!! My Pastor talked about the Prayer of Jabez found in 1Chronicles 4. And how we are to ask God for provision("bless me"), for privilege("enlarge my territories"), for promotion("let your hand be with me"), and for protection("keep me from harm"). In Him Alone will we find the strength to expand our territories for Him! Something that my Pastor pointed out that I found soooo interesting....

My math looks like this: My abilities + experience + training + my personality and appearance + my past + the expectations of others=my assigned territory

God's math looks like this: My willingness and weakness + God's will and supernatural power = my expanding territory

God wants us to live for Him and Him alone!!! So the following song fits very well with the message that I heard today!!

In Christ Alone
by Brian Littrell

In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I’ll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes
Like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal
To the grace by which I stand

In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone

In Christ alone will I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I seek no greater honor in just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses to the glory of my Lord

In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope

In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone
Is Christ alone
